Rollsaw for cutting 4,5 m wide newsprint and SC paper rolls at Stora Enso Kvarnsveden, Sweden. Roll weight max 8 tons. Loading of rolls is made using an overhead crane and the dust is removed directly via an existing trim fan to the pulper.

The CFE Nordic roll saw has now been improved to handle damaged rolls even more effectively than before, for example rolls damaged in handling or storing, or rolls with an ”elephant foot”. As a large part of the roll can be reused when the damaged part has been cut off, the machine will soon become a profitable investment. The roll saw is also used for dividing rolls, which are too wide for the converting equipment, for example rewinder, sheet cutter, roll splitter etc.
